NYPD Captain Arrested For Assault

This guy ain’t New York’s finest.

An NYPD Internal Affairs cop was arrested early Friday after he knocked out his girlfriend during an argument in Queens, cops said.

Prosecutors say Capt. Aaron Wright, 38, approached his girlfriend as she sat in her car on the Van Wyck Expressway near 86th Road in Briarwood at 1:45 a.m.

The commanding officer of IAB’s Group 22, allegedly attacked 46th Precinct Domestic Violence Unit Sgt. Nicole McFarlane, 38.

McFarlane said Wright twice kicked the driver-side door, then hit her so hard she was knocked out. She woke up as cops were transporting her to Jamaica Hospital; her left eye and jaw were swollen and bruised.

Investigators charged the 16-year NYPD veteran with third-degree assault, criminal mischief and harassment, authorities said. He was suspended without pay and released.
