Manhattan: Space Shuttle Exhibit Reopens After Damage From Sandy

ssiThe Space Shuttle exhibit at the Intrepid Sea, Air and Space Museum will be back open soon now that the damage from Hurricane Sandy is nearly repaired. The museum says the pavilion where the shuttle enterprise is being housed will reopen on July 10.

The pavilion was built after the original structure holding Enterprise was damaged by the storm.

You’ll be able to walk underneath the shuttle prototype and view it from an observation deck.

The pavilion will also house a Russian Soyuz space capsule.

But the museum is still looking to build a permanent exhibit space for the Enterprise in the future.
