Two young siblings are in critical condition following a fire that tore through their Brooklyn home.

Authorities say 4-year-old Rolando Rich and his 3-year-old sister, Dasani Rich, suffered burns and smoke inhalation.

The blaze broke out at 2:45 a.m. Saturday at the Van Dyck Houses in the Brownsville section.

Fox 5 News reports that the fire started in the master bedroom of the second-floor apartment. It says the children’s 15-year-old brother was able to get his 11-year-old brother out of the apartment but he couldn’t reach his younger siblings.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
