Yerushalayim – In a remarkable display of growth and siyata dishmaya, Yeshivas Tiferes Yonasan Yehoshua, located in the Katamon neighborhood of Yerushalayim and led by HaRav Yisroel Meir Zevichy, shlit”a, held its official Chanukas HaBayis for its newly completed and magnificent building.
A Yeshiva Rapidly Rising
Though the Yeshiva was established only six years ago, it has already become a notable name in the world of Torah in Eretz Yisroel. The new building reflects the rapid expansion of its programs and the dedication of its leadership.
Three Pillars Behind the Growth
This expansion has been made possible by three distinguished benefactors — pillars of Torah and chessed:
• R’ Ayzik Soulimani (Heichal Soulimani)
• R’ Yoeli Landa (Ulam Landa)
• R’ Dovid Gafner (Ulam Gafner)
These devoted supporters have stood firmly behind the Rosh Yeshiva, Rav Yisroel Meir Zevichy, who is renowned for his success in building talmidim with simchas haTorah and clarity in learning.
Annual Siyum HaMasechtos Celebration
In conjunction with the Chanukas HaBayis, the Yeshiva hosted its Annual Siyum HaMasechtos — celebrating the achievements of its bochurim who completed masechtos learned b’hasmadah outside regular seder hours.
Divrei Chizuk from HaRav Binyomin Finkel, shlit”a
The event was graced by HaRav Binyomin Finkel, shlit”a, who came specially to honor the supporters of Torah. In his address, he praised the bochurim’s efforts and spoke movingly about the Rosh Yeshiva’s tireless mesirus nefesh. He offered heartfelt brachos to the Yeshiva’s three benefactors for their unwavering support.
Seudas Mitzvah and Live Broadcast
A beautiful seudas mitzvah was held in the newly named halls. The Rosh Yeshiva addressed the tzibur with visible emotion, especially thanking the benefactors, who though unable to attend this year in person due to various constraints, joined via live broadcast. His message: deep gratitude and heartfelt tefillos that the support of Torah will continue to flourish.
A Joyous Conclusion
The event concluded with spirited dancing by the talmidim — in honor of the Torah and in anticipation that next year, the celebration will be held in the rebuilt Yerushalayim, bimheira b’yameinu.
