Nafshi III – An Evening of Niggun, Inspiration& Tzedakah in honor of Yud Tes Kislev

In honor of Yud Tes Kislev, the day of the Baal HaTanya’s liberation from Czarist imprisonment, Colel Chabad presents Nafshi III, an evening of inspiration, niggun and tzedakah, taking place on Sunday, December 7th, at the historic Kings Theatre in Brooklyn.

Nafshi is unique because it is centered entirely on niggunim, which defines the character of the evening. This year’s program will feature Eli Marcus, Shulem Lemmer, Joey Newcomb, Yehuda Green and Benny Friedman, with inspiration by Rabbi Daniel Kalish and Rabbi Yoel Gold, and musical direction by Mendy Portnoy.

Last year’s Nafshi was completely sold out, with thousands attending. This year is expected to draw the same excitement as we gather again to mark Yud Tes Kislev, the Rosh Hashanah of Chassidus, and to honor the Baal HaTanya, founder of Colel Chabad over 230 years ago.

Through the Nafshi event, Colel Chabad continues the Baal HaTanya’s vision, combining spiritual inspiration with care for others and supporting families in need across Eretz Yisroel.

  1. Who is this production geared for?

I have seen a recording of past years and it was truly beautiful. However, the mainstream Talmidim of the Baal HaTanya are busy learning and Davening on this holy day, they are not going to a Kumzitz style musical production on such an auspicious day. Curious as to who this is geared for.
