Kever Rochel to become accessible to visitors

kever rochel.jpgThe nine member National Religious Party Knesset faction invited Public Security Minister Dichter yesterday to discuss several issues of concern amongst them Kever Rochel. Dichter told the MKs that he’ll act to allow Jews to visit Rachel’s Tomb without restrictions in a matter of weeks.

The MKs said that now that the entire Kever Rochel is protected and fortified, visitors should be allowed to reach the site freely.

At present, visitors must take reinforced buses, which arrive infrequently and only according to a predetermined schedule. Dichter said he would act to ensure that within several weeks, people would be permitted to visit without the requirement of a reinforced vehicle.
