WATCH: Burglar Steals $14,000 in Jewelry From Flatbush Home


A burglar made off with around $14,000 in jewelry from a Flatbush home, and police have released footage of the suspect.

The burglary took place on Tuesday, November 20, 2018 at approximately 1:00PM, inside of a residential building in the vicinity of East 5th Street and Avenue R. The suspect forced their way through the front door of a 62-year-old female victim’s residence. Once inside, the person removed an undetermined amount of money and approximately $14,000 worth of jewelry. The person was last seen traveling southbound on East 5th Street towards Avenue S.

The person is described as a white male, approximately 25-30 years of age, 5’10”, brown facial hair and a medium build. He was last seen wearing a dark colored hooded sweatshirt, dark pants and carrying a dark book bag.

  1. God bless the family that has the ability to have at least $14000 worth of jewelry at home. After housing costs, tuition, shul membership, food, and health care I will settle for a candy-ring piece of jewelry.

  2. assuming the video is from min the house – he is on the phone meaning that someone is guiding him thru the sizeable house so maybe its the goytas boy friend? or some inside job ( he doesnt just happen to be on the phone during a robbery.
