WATCH: MK Shuli Muallem Walk Onto Har HaBayis As Muslim Women Shriek And Scream

It must be noted: According to the Poskei Hador one is absolutely forbidden to visit the Temple Mount, and there is an Issur Kares for one that goes there.

Four years ago on Sukkos, Israeli President Shimon Peres paid a visit to the Sukkah of Maran Hagon Rav Elyashiv ZATZAL, where Rav Elyashiv called on the President to prevent Jews from visiting Har HaBayis, stating it is an act that that is viewed as extremely provocative by the goyim. Maran stated everything possible must be done to avoid a religious war, and the provocateurs are playing with fire.

Maran is quoted as explaining to the president that Halacha forbids going onto Har HaBayis but today, it is more than this, it is an act that may lead to a religious war and bloodshed.

This is and remains the view of poskei hador. This is also the view of the Chief Rabbinate of Israel. Among the rabbonim who share this view are HaGaon HaRav Chaim Kanievsky Shlita, HaGaon HaRav Shmuel Halevy Wosner Shlita, HaGaon HaRav Gershon Edelstein Shlita, Maran HaGaon HaRav Aaron Yehuda Leib Shteinman Shlita, Maran HaGaon HaRav Ovadia Yosef ZT”L, Maran Hagon HaRav Yosef Shalom Elyashiv ZT”l and many others.

  1. Next thing you’ll be claiming is these gedolim assert that Torah is more important than having a medinah, and that learning Torah is more important than shooting Arabs. What sort of zionists are these?

  2. At a time when the security forces are having difficulty maintaining order in Yerushalayim, these provocative visits to har habayis in direct contradiction of halacha and the psak of gadolei hador, are risking lives and bloodshed. This MK and others who pursue this path deserve to bear the likely consequences of their mindless actions as Reb Glick recently discovered.

  3. @Akuperma and zionflag

To clarify are you questioning the gedolim mentioned above?

Because if you are you might as well give up judaism because youve missed the entire point of our religion…any person can see clearly that walking on har habayis by any jew has no positive outcome and is just used for a misguided view and personal publicity. These are obvious and clear violations and any person who goes against what the rabonim have spoken out against just further danger against jews as a whole. So to walk there is just plain selfish…there a re numerous jewish deaths directly related to walking on har habayis….sharon was one of them.

  4. Its disgusting to see this kind of behavior for obvious personal glory. What is going on in israel by people representing themselves as a jewish people and government is appaling and pretty soon we wont have to worry about protecting a jewish state because soon enough there will be no semblance of a jewish identity there…..I shudder to think what hashem has in store for us in the near future after this blatant disregard for his representatives.

  5. One doesn’t need to be religious or even Jewish to realize that going to Har HaBayis is mindless and extremely dangerous. If those people that go there don’t value their own lives then they should at least value the lives of all of men, women and children that may be injured or killed, C”V, because of their stupid actions.
There is nothing to gain except for the 15 minutes of selfish publicity and fame for themselves.

  6. To tzoorba:

While the post does say “according to the Poskei Hador one is absolutely forbidden” not all rabonim hold this view.

It is like saying all poski hador say one can not carry in the boro park eruv.

Or take a sibing to joyish court of you are fighting over a chasidus.
