VIDEOS: Donald Trump: Political Sideshow Or The Real Deal?

[WATCH VIDEOS BELOW OF HANNITY & LIMBAUGH INTERVIEWS] Donald Trump appeared at a rally in Boca Raton, Fla., today, giving the Tea Party faithful the anti-Obama message they wanted to hear.

“Our current president,” Trump said, amid booing from the crowd. “They all want me to say, ‘You’re fired.'”

Ever since Trump appealed to the “birther” movement by pushing President Obama to reveal his birth certificate, the real estate mogul has seen his poll numbers rise, elevating him to the top of the list of potential Republican candidates.

The latest CNN/Opinion Research Corporation survey shows Trump tied at 19 percent with former Arkansas and 2008 Republican presidential candidate Mike Huckabee.

As Trump ascends to lead the presidential contender pack, some Republicans worry Trump might be more of a political sideshow than a legitimate candidate. For two consecutive days, Karl Rove, former senior adviser and deputy chief of staff for President George W. Bush, went on the attack, calling Trump a “joke candidate.”

“If you start off the campaign saying my number one priority is to get the birth certificate because I don’t think he was born in Hawaii, that does not give you the right launching point,” Rove said today on Fox News.

The reality TV star, whose catchphrase “You’re fired,” infiltrated the American lexicon, has indicated he may make an announcement regarding a future presidential run on the season finale of his show, “The Apprentice,” in May, but some question whether this may be a serious bid or simply a ploy to gain more media attention.

At the rally in Florida today, the Tea Party crowd roared when Trump laid out his pro-life and anti-gun control message. Trump vowed to repeal “Obamacare” and stressed the importance of creating and keeping jobs in America.

“If I decided to run and if I win, I will not be raising taxes but will be taking in billions of dollars from other countries and will be creating vast numbers of productive jobs,” Trump said.

  1. The birther nonsense suggests a side show. No one, including the tea party, wants anybody who isn’t interested in fiscal matters as the primary issue.

A similar side show occured in 1998 when the Republicans focused on Monica Lewinsky, and the country thought they should be more concerned with the fate of the nation rather than the President’s private life. The Republicans basically snatched defeat from the jaw’s of victory, and Monica was a lot more credible a complain that the birthers ramblins, and the country was in much less of a crisis.

  2. Karl Rove, a conservative of considered intelligence, correctly pinned Donald Trump as a member of the “nutty right.” The same can be said of frum Jews who have (like Trump) jumped on the nutty ‘birther’ bandwagon. They only embarrass themselves and, by association, the rest of the frum community. There are enough serious issues which should enjoin us to defeat Obama in the next election. The ‘birther’ issue is an idiotic side-show concocted by dim-witted yokels. Frum Jews of intelligence, like Rove, should have no part in it.

  3. The more I see & hear about him I am beginning to firmly believe he is actually a ‘plant’ by the Regime to muddy the waters now so Oybama doesn’thave to deal with it during the actual campaign.

Put it this way, during the last election he contributed nicely to Chuck U Schumer, Anthony Weiner, Christ in Florida, as well as many other non Republicans / non Conservatives ESPECIALLY in tight races! He just gave a nice sum to Rahm Emanuel for his mayoral election in Chicago.

The bottom line BASED ON FACTS is I don’t trust him for a second!!

  4. #6 agree with you about everything except calling Rove intelligent the architect of the disastrous Iraq war, which only benefited Iran. It is like calling Biden intelligent.

  5. No. 6 has it all wrong when he writes: “Frum Jews of intelligence, like Rove, should have no part in it.” Carl Rove is not – repeat – not – a frum Jew.

  6. No. 7: Even when you are right you are wrong. Donald Trump is not a “plant” from Democrats or the Obama administration. He is just a rich loud-mouth desperately looking for attention any way he can. As for the thing on his head, well, that might be a plant. If it is a plant, maybe the chemical fertilizers are leeching into Trump’s brain.

  7. What fascinates me the most, are these no it all “puntids” on this thread that think they have the brains and the expertise to decide who is good and who is not. What credentials do any of you have, other than voicing your opinions on a yeshivishe web site?

  8. 5. too bad you aren’t really up to date on the fact that rove is part of the “we need to be friends with the libs” crowd in DC & most of us have passed him by.
