[VIDEO IN EXTENDED ARTICLE] Joe Lhota’s campaign for mayor beats Mitt Romney’s failed Presidential campaign “hands down,” Isaac Abraham, a prominent activist in Brooklyn’s Orthodox Jewish community, charged Monday afternoon.

Two days after he castigated the Lhota campaign for failing to reach out to the Orthodox Jewish community, Mr. Abraham waited for Mr. Lhota outside a campaign stop in Southern Brooklyn, to express his “constructive criticism” to the candidate himself.

Mr. Abraham, who was brushed off by the Mr. Lhota as he emerged from the senior center, told YWN that he was dispatched to personally tell the Republican candidate he wasn’t being personal.

Speaking to reporters following Mr. Lhota’s departure, Mr. Abrahams doubled down on Mr. Lhota’s flailing cmapaign and inability to deliver punches at Bill de Blasio at the most recent televised debate.

“If I would have been at the podium, I would’ve responded tit-for-tat,” he told NBC4, WCBS880 and local reporters. “This campaign is not alive. It’s not there. It is just not there. It’s a Joke, a joke.”

“It’s not there, not only for the Jews, it’s not there for the African Americans, for the Italians, for the Latinos, it is not there. It’s a hit and run job,” he added.

Mr. Lhota later told reporters said he’s not concerned with Abraham’s criticism.

“I don’t know who Mr. Abraham is. I have my own advisers in the Hasidic community. People who want to talk about my campaign who know nothing about it, you know, you get what you pay for. There is nothing there,” said the candidate.

“My relationship with the Hasidic community – with Satmars and all of them – is very, very good,” he added.

  1. Issac Abraham should borrow some screws from his hardware store…

Has Mr. Abraham seen Bill de Blasio since he took the Rose Garden approach?

Does Mr. Abraham know that Bill de Blasio refuses to meet with Jewish activists and organizations since he won the primary?

Does Mr. “Self-Proclaimed Activist” know that Joe Lhota visited the Jewish communities in Williamsburg, Boro Park, Crown Heights, Midwood, Far Rockaway and beyond time and again?

Does Mr. Democratic-Operative know that Lhota stands united with the Jewish community (versus de Blasio) on nearly every issue?

Will Mr. Abraham agree that Romney and Lhota ran better campaigns than he did a mere couple of years ago?!

  2. Dave, so do work for the Lhota camp? thanks for TRYING to insult Isaac if you live 200 years you will never accomplish what he did and didn’t get paid for it, never worked for any community organization.

If you feel stupid enough to respond, please respond to the issues that he is asking to be addressed in the debate and campaign.

You sound more like some one who was set up to write an attack on Isaac, even if he lost his campaign (because of the UJO goons and met council friends) he still ran a better campaign then Lhota.

I know and see who Lhota met, LEADERS who like to be photographed and in all pictures all day with every one, are you one of them? because if so, please let the Jewish public know what message he left behind except for a photo, thats your obligation.

  3. Kedus to Mr. Abraham who really presents Kalal Yisreal with no politcal motive a real askin for the klal. If the Jewish community has more activist like Abraham politcions will listen to our concerns. Joe Lhota keeps coming back to the Jewish community because they know Jewish pepple are going for deblasio and bill de Blasio was endorsed by every major kahailah and Jewish orginasations and true askunim. He reached out to everyone. As at one recent event he specifically said that since he knows our issues first hand (not like Lohta has no clue what out issues are.) so we will finally have an open door and a friendly Mayor.
