As part of its end-of-year coverage, Yediot Achronot at the end of 2013 polled readers to determine what they feel was the outgoing year�s most significant headline. They were asked to select between 12 headline pages appeared on the Yediot Achronot Facebook page, including President Obama�s visit to Israel, the blizzard, the petira of Rav Ovadia, Lapid�s growing popularity, the new governor of the Bank of Israel, the death of a star, the indictment of another star, the acquittal of Avigdor Lieberman, the death of songwriter/performer Arik Einstein, Prisoner X, flooding and President Peres� 90th birthday.

The petira of Maran came in first place, with over 1,120 votes. Second place was the headline covering the death of Arik Einstein, with only 500 votes.
