B’chasdei Hashem, 11-year-old Ayalah bas Rus Shapira has regained consciences and is interacting with her surroundings. Her mother thanked everyone who was mispallel, telling the media “from this we see the strength of tefilos…She is still not out of danger and I ask that you all continue davening. She has a long way to go…”

Ayalah remains in serious condition with burns over 50% of her body as a result of a firebomb attack directed at the family vehicle as her dad was driving near their Shomron community. Her dad, Avner, was injured as well, but B’chasdei Hashem his injuries are far less serious.

Officials in Sheba Medical Center at Tel Hashomer report that in line with the appropriate treatment for the young child, she was slowly brought out of the medically induced coma and is responding well. However, hospital officials emphasize she remains in serious condition and is not out of danger and has a long road of rehabilitation ahead.

The Zichron Menachem organization reports that a year ago, Ayalah asked her mother to donate her hair to the organization to benefit cancer patients. Now, Mrs. Shapira calls on the tzibur to do the same, in her daughter’s name.
