Tel Aviv Shul Targeted by Vandals R”L

t3Vandals on erev Shabbos 8 Adar broke into the Yeshivas Netivot Yitzchak in Tel Aviv, stole a Sefer Torah and Judaica and significantly damaged the shul. The yeshiva is under the leadership of Tel Aviv Chief Rabbi HaGaon HaRav Yisrael Meir Lau Shlita.

Police indicate it appears the break-in occurred at 12:30PM on Friday afternoon and the vandals succeeded in breaking into the Aron Kodesh. They opened cabinets and closets and simply threw everything on the ground and smashed and broke anything and everything in their path.

Someone apparently entered about an hour later and the vandals fled via a window. They fled with a Sefer Torah and dozens of pairs of tefilin which were found near the shul on motzei Shabbos.

HaGaon HaRav Moshe Maya, a member of the Shas Moetzas Gedolei Yisrael who lives near the shul visited on Shabbos morning to give chizuk to the rabbonim and talmidim.
