Terrorist in Stabbing Attack ‘Hates Religious Jews’


t11The terrorist who perpetrated the stabbing attack near Jerusalem City Hall a number of weeks ago is in custody. The 17-year-old Arab terrorist explained to authorities that he hates religious Jews. He was brought before a remand hearing at the Jerusalem Magistrate Court on Wednesday, 20 Adar.

Avreich R’ Avrohom Goldschmidt, a resident of Yerushalayim, was wounded in that attack. Mayor Nir Barkat’s vehicle was passing by as the attack occurred and the mayor and his security team ran out and intervened, restraining the terrorist, a resident of Birzeit near Ramallah.

He told investigators on the same day of the attack he also traveled to Shar Shechem (Damascus Gate) to the Old City to stab a Jew. He admitted that he also takes part in rock-throwing and firebomb attacks against IDF forces in Birzeit.
