A tank containing kitchen gas was placed inside a burning tire next to the security fence of Kiryat Arba on motzei Shabbos Bereshis near the Arab village of Jabil Johar.

B’chasdei Hashem security personnel detracted the explosive device in time and were able to extinguish the flames and prevent the explosion of the large gas tank.

The incident did result in damage to the city’s security fence.
