High Court Agrees to Extend Deadline for Givat Ze’ev Shul Demolition by Two Days

ywnisrael.israelFollowing reports that a deal was reached between the parties, the High Court of Justice on Tuesday, 5 Kislev, accepted a request to postpone the demolition of Beit Knesset Ayelet HaShachar for two days, until Thursday.

The agreement stipulates the state will pay NIS 5.2 million to rebuild the shul on another plot of land in Givat Ze’ev. The extension and the deal are dependent on compliance with the following stipulation:
• The shul is emptied of all its contents during the two-day extension
• The government must then begin the demolition

Heirs of the Arab man who made the land claim informed the court of their willingness to accept the two-day extension “to avoid bloodshed” but they too have conditions:
• The fence built around the property must be removed within a week of the demolition
• The petitioners will be granted full access to the land that was previously the shul

The Yesh Din organization which is representing the Arab land owners, calls this “a humiliating surrender by the guardians of the law amid threats from right-wing extremists.”

It took time till the Jews learnt how to do what the arabs have been doing for years – and of course that’s what bothers these lefties.
Next they’ll be screaming “anti democracy”, their favorite mantra.
