As of 10:30PM, 63 people have been treated at Meron by United Hatzalah medics for light to moderate injuries most of which consisted of light cuts, falls from high places, light burns, and respiratory problems.

United Hatzalah strongly recommends that if anyone sees or comes across a medical emergency in Meron or is otherwise in need of medical assistance at Meron or during their travel to and from Meron that they contact United Hatzalah’s emergency number 1221 in order to receive a fast and professional response from the closest medical patrol team.

CEO of United Hatzalah Moshe Teitelbaum relayed: “Hundreds of United Hatzalah volunteer doctors, paramedics and EMTs have arrived from across the entire county in order to take part in providing fast Emergency Medical Services to the myriads of people who have come to visit Rabbi Shimon Bar Yohai’s gravesite and compound during the holiday. The EMS personnel will be patrolling the entire compound and the town of Meron throughout the weekend in order to provide medical treatment to those staying on site for Shabbat as well.”
