Peres Remains in Serious/Stable Condition


1Doctors at Sheba Medical Center at Tel Hashomer on Thursday morning 12 Elul report former President Shimon Peres, who suffered a stroke earlier in the week, remains in serious/stable condition. The 93-year-old president was admitted to the hospital on Tuesday, 10 Elul.

Among the former president’s visitors was Migdal HaEmek Chief Rabbi HaGaon HaRav Yitzchok Dovid Grossman Shlita, who calls on Am Yisrael to be mispallel for Shimon ben Sara bsoch kol cholei am yisrael. Rabbi Grossman reports Mr. Peres squeezed his hand and he remains optimistic that Am Yisrael’s tefilos will assist the president in making a recovery.

  1. Sounds like he is not the great loser after all. He should have a refua shleima, refuas hanefesh u’refuas haguf. When he pulls through the physical side hopefully his neshoma will get better as well and he will adopt a life truly committed to Torah and mitzvos like his ancestors. Shimon, it is never too late to do teshuva!
