An Israeli woman was shot to death in Mexico after a robbery went wrong on Friday. The woman was driving near the town of Tulum, which is south of Cancun in the southern Yucatan province of Mexico when she was shot and killed. According to reports coming out of Mexico, the woman held numerous citizenship’s and was also a citizen of Canada. The woman’s husband told police that she was carrying a large amount of cash at the time that she was shot.
The Israeli Foreign Ministry confirmed the details of the story and added that the Israeli Consul in Mexico, Idit Davidovic, together with the Israeli delegation of the Foreign Ministry are assisting in bringing the woman’s body back to Israel for burial.
