Airport Workers Sign an Agreement, Finally

After over a year of wildcat strikes that left many passengers stranded in Ben-Gurion International Airport, employees on Tuesday signed a new wage agreement that should bring tranquility to the airport through 2010.

Just this week there was another strike, which resulted in major delays in outgoing flights as well as delays in baggage handling of incoming flights.

The agreement airport authority officials’ hope will bring an end to strikes and job actions at least during the period of the salary agreement.
