Israeli Pilotless Aircraft Delivered to Turkey

While relations between Jerusalem and Ankara are indeed strained, it did not prevent Turkey from accepting delivery of six Israeli-made Heron drones, pilotless surveillance aircraft. An additional four are scheduled to be delivered by the end of next month.

The $185 million deal was signed back in 2005, before the breakdown in relations that followed the IDF’s counter-terrorism offensive in Gaza.
