Police in the Lachish district are operating on heightened security status in response to warnings of planned rocket attack into southern Israel and terror attacks in the area.
Border police and specialized units will focus on public places, including shopping malls, hiking trails and parks. A special emphasis will be placed on shuls.
Police call on the public to exhibit vigilance and not to hesitate to report anything suspicious.
