Rav Gershon Shtemer ZATZAL was Niftar this morning in Yerushalayim at the age of 82. He was one of the heads of the Eida Hachareidis. This sad news comes on the heels of the news of the passing of Rav Yosef Sheinberger ZATZAL who was also one of the heads of the Eidah; just two weeks ago. I met Rav Shtemer many years ago when I brought something to him from my local Rav. I took my boys with me so they could see a Tzaddik. Rav Shtemer graciously received them, and asked them questions about their learning. He was a very unassuming man, but one could feel his kedushah just being in his presence.
He should be a meilitz yashar for all of Klal Yisroel.
