On May 20, five years after his passing, Yeshiva Bais Yehudah of Detroit will complete a sefer Torah to commemorate the legacy of Rabbi Avrohom Abba Freedman, zt”l.� Rav Yitzchak Scheiner, shlita, Rosh haYeshiva of Yeshivas Kaminetz of Yerushalayim and a close friend of Rabbi Freedman for more than sixty years will fly from Eretz Yisroel to participate in the Hachnosas Sefer Torah.� The overwhelming success of the project was largely due to the enthusiasm and support of Mr. Gary Torgow, a former talmid and president of the yeshiva, who initiated the entire undertaking, as well as countless alumni and friends world-wide.� A large number of family members are expected to travel to Detroit to honor Rabbi Freedman’s memory.
