Virginia does not have a large Jewish poulation, so there is no reason for Democratgs to break on party loyalty. If one notes the tepid response to Islamic terrorism outside by the Democratic party, it should be obvious that be outraged by the Islamic Terror movement not compatible with being a “good” Democrat. The party of Roosevelt and Kennedy is not the party of the modern day version of Neville Chamberlain.

Democrats who believe in supporting freedom and democracy, such as Ronald Reagan (and many others, among the leading Republicans today) were Democrats until the Democrats became isolationist quasi-socialists with a strong bias against people with religious beliefs.
This is just a political stunt. The US Constitution does not allow states to have foreign policies. The Democrats were right to walk out in protest.
Funny how conservatives who claim to like the Constitution are willing to ignore it when it is politically convenient.
