Prime Minister Ehud Olmert and Transportation and Road Safety Minister Shaul Mofaz today inaugurated a new section of Highway #6, the Trans-Israel Highway, between Nahal Sorek and Kiryat Gat, thus increasing the part of the highway that is open to traffic to 110 kilometers.

Prime Minister Olmert said: “The Israeli economy is moving forward and one indication of this is the possibility of investing in infrastructure.� The major effort that we must now make is to see to it that all residents of Israel feel this economic growth, a substantial part of which is the construction of infrastructures that benefit everybody”.
