The Bayit Yehudi party has issued a statement on Monday, 25 Menachem Av, that it has not decided to endorse Minister Ze�ev Elkin�s bid in the Jerusalem mayoral race, despite a report to the contrary. Bayit Yehudi officials told BeChadrei Chareidim a decision regarding which candidate to endorse has yet to be made.

According to the BeChadrei Chareidim report, party officials have not reached a decision regarding the Jerusalem mayoral race but does confirm that Chagit Moshe is heading the party�s list in the Jerusalem race.

A report appearing in the daily Yisrael Hayom newspaper does state the party has decided to back Elkin, but party officials are denying the accuracy of that report.
