Ivanka Trump May Be Running For Senate In Florida, Reports Say

Presidential Advisor and First Daughter Ivanka Trump is considering a Senate run in Florida, according to media reports.

Trump and her husband White House adviser Jared Kushner recently purchased a $31 million waterfront estate on Indian Creek Island, an elite Miami area known as the “Billionaire’s Bunker.” Some reports say that the power couple’s move to Florida may be due to political considerations since Ivanka’s father, President Donald Trump, is popular in Florida.

Ivanka reportedly definitely wants a career in politics, according to Page 6, and a run for the U.S Senate is a distinct possibility, said Adam C. Smith, a political editor who used to work for the Tampa Bay Times.

“Assuming she’s not interested in a low-profile political office, that would leave the United States Senate as a possibility,” Smith told CNN.

“Marco Rubio is up for reelection in 2022 and is expected to run again. But I wouldn’t think Rubio would deter her if she wanted to run. The last time Marco Rubio ran against a Trump in Florida, in the 2016 presidential primary, Rubio was crushed by 19 percentage points.”

“Normally, you’d expect a credible candidate for U.S. Senate to spend years building a political and financial network, but those normal rules would not apply to Ivanka,” Smith added.

“I think she’d be the immediate frontrunner if she ran for U.S. Senate against Rubio, given her father’s popularity in the Sunshine State.”

  1. Maybe this helps explain why the President recently commuted the sentence of a wealthy Miami Jew who was serving a sentence for NH fraud etc.

  2. @Reb Eliezer – Ask Joe Lieberman how, He never ate Treif, and never too an elevator on Shabbos. He used to walk miles on Shabbos if he had to cast a vote.

By the way, did you know that President Obama – YES OBAMA – had a Shomer Shabbos Chief of Staff? Hard to believe. Right? (Disclaimer, I am a die-hard Conservative Republican). But facts count. His name was Jack Lew. And in fact, Obama would frequently say how he could never reach Jack on Shabbos as the phone would ring for ever.

Probably 100 times more “frum” than Jared is.

    Just saying.

  3. @Reb Eliezer
Ivanka will rely on the same unnamed Rabbi who gave her the nonexistent heter to ride in a car ion Shabbos to her fathers 2017 inauguration.

    She is a FAKE…………………..

  4. As I remember it Yossel Liberman would stay in Al Gore’s apartment near the Capitol when he had to be there for Shabbos and Al was happy to act as his Shabbos goy. I also remember that Obama would send Lew home early Friday afternoon, even though Lew was willing to keep working, and tell him to go home and get ready for Shabbos, so Obama probably knew to make arrangements ahead of time. I think it was his earlier boss Bill Clinton (when Lew served as his budget chief, presiding over the last budget surplus in US history) who had problems reaching him on Shabbos. Lew was the only one of his chiefs of staff whom Obama actually called his friend, and I suspect it was Lew who persuaded him to let Pollard free even though a lot of the intelligence community wanted to use legal mechanisms to keep him in prison.

  5. Very dumb if she plans a career in politics. She is challenging an someone who is already been elected twice to the Senate. Even if she wins the primary, she will have trouble winning over Rubio’s supporters. If she is serious about a political career, she should run for the House from a district that is currently represented by a Democrat. While some of Trump’s “base” might follow her, one needs to remember that Trump has massively messed up in the last 10 weeks of his term and alienated a large amount of the Republican party (all the more so if the Democrats manage to win either of the Georgia Senate races – Trump is burnings bridges behind him, and Ivanka will need those bridges if she wants to run for office).

  6. Al Gore was Joe’s shabbos goyt, when necessary, I heard. I would think there are a lot of kulos for Jews involved in world affairs. See Megilah Esther

  7. “He used to walk miles on Shabbos if he had to cast a vote.”

It is about three miles from Kesher Israel, the only orthodox synagogue in downtown Washington other than Chabad, to the US Capitol building. Fortunately all within the eruv. 🙂
