  1. It’s a standard rite for all major New York politicians, from the governor and senators to mayors and congressmen, to visit New York’s more influential, and arguably powerful, Jewish leader.

  2. Looks like schumer is worried. If AOC runs and takes away many votes from Schumer and Orthodox Jews in New York support a Republican it will be tough for him. Remember that young generation of chassidim and Yeshivaleit are big time Republican supporters.

  3. AT all you people bashing Satmar.
    1. You have no right to lambast a Talmid Chacham. Your petty understanding of whom to support in regards to politics may well be your right, but by no means are you correct.

    2. Show me one community of Torah observant Yidden who can compare to Satmar! Their bikur cholim, their Kiruv rechokim (think, teimanim) and frankly, their unwavering and unapologetic fealty to torah values. Not to mention their community-wide learning regimen which sets them apart, as a whole, from average communities.

    3. You think when R’ Meir Shapiro gave honor to the polish parliament he was condoning them? What about R Itzele Volozhiner giving respect to the czar, is Schumer worse than the czar? what about R’ Yochanan ben zakkai giving respect to roman generals, how about Moshe rabeinu to Pharo?

You may not have to agree with The Satmar approach, there are indeed other valid ones presented by Gedolim and rabbanim, but for you pathetic excuses of intellectuals, ask yourselves if you are any better than the “leitznei hador” of which we suffer from so much.

  4. It’s Schumer that is worried. The extreme left will support AOC and religious Jews will vote Republican down the line.

  5. Notice he didn’t brag about his vigorous support of Israel!! Wonder why?! He may be liberal and misguided but one day the citizens of NY will wish they had a representative who has a brain between his ears!!!!
