Andrii Matiukha Foundation: areas of assistance and international initiatives

In 2025, a new charitable organization emerged in Ukraine — a personal foundation established by Andrii Matiukha. The organization became a platform for implementing individual initiatives and developing cooperation with international partners. Its goal is to support citizens affected by crisis events and contribute to the country’s recovery.

Andrii Matiukha identified the foundation’s key area of activity — a focus on long-term strategies. This includes supporting projects with long-term prospects in the fields of healthcare, education, culture, and community development.

International cooperation is one of Andrii Matiukha’s priorities

In May, the foundation supported the opening of the art installation Origami for Ukraine. Five thousand paper birds made by children from the Palace of Youth were displayed on the facade of the Kyiv History Museum. The project carried both symbolic and practical significance — the funds raised were used to finance treatment for the wounded in a rehabilitation center in the capital.

The installation was created through a partnership between Kyiv and Brussels. It will be on display for 90 days. According to Andrii Matiukha, this project united key elements: healthcare, community involvement, and international cooperation.

Support for sports initiatives and work with children

Another initiative supported by the foundation was a charity auction held at the Dynamo stadium. The event aimed to raise funds for the construction of an inclusive sports ground in Zhytomyr for orphaned children.

The organization contributed to:

  • ensuring live broadcasting of the event;

  • collecting sports memorabilia;

  • coordinating with participants.

Among the auctioned items were national team uniforms and memorabilia signed by Oleksandr Usyk, Vitalii Klitschko, Andrii Shevchenko, and other athletes.

Andrii Valeriiovych noted that such projects help engage the public in charitable efforts and deliver tangible results — creating opportunities for children’s development.

Medical aid and modern equipment

In February, the foundation donated a Thompson surgical system to Okhmatdyt hospital. This retractor equipment is used in complex operations, including emergency, oncological, and neurosurgical procedures. Its value is UAH 2.22 million.

Over 60 operations were performed using the system in the first months of its use. According to doctors, the equipment allowed surgeons to work faster, with less fatigue and lower risk for patients.

The technology enhances the precision of interventions, which is particularly critical in pediatric surgery. Andrii Matiukha emphasized that providing such equipment is part of a comprehensive strategy to support medical infrastructure.

“YE — PROTEZ” platform and work with veterans

A separate initiative is the YE — PROTEZ online platform, designed for people who have lost limbs. The portal includes consultations on prosthetics, physical and psychological rehabilitation.

The service offers:

  • information on available prosthetic options,

  • funding opportunities,

  • contacts of rehabilitation centers,

  • technical solutions for inclusion.

The project was developed with the involvement of specialists and supported by the Andrii Matiukha Foundation, addressing the needs of both military personnel and civilians.

Key areas of activity

Currently, the foundation operates in five strategic directions:

  • reintegration of veterans;

  • strengthening community resilience;

  • modernization of medical assistance;

  • support for projects in culture, science, and education;

  • international partnerships to support Ukraine’s reconstruction.

In his statements, Andrii Matiukha emphasizes the need for a systemic approach. His foundation engages partners to focus not only on short-term aid, but also on long-term projects with the potential to transform the environment.
