Israeli cellist Amit Peled said that he and two other Israelis were refused service in a restaurant in Vienna after speaking Hebrew among themselves.
In a post on social media, Peled wrote that he was sitting in an Italian restaurant in Vienna with two fellow Israeli musicians before their sold-out concert that night in an Austrian hall.
“After taking our order, the waiter returned and suddenly asked what language we were speaking. I replied casually, ‘English and German.’ ‘No, no,’ he insisted. ‘What were you just speaking now?’ I answered, ‘Hebrew, of course.”
“He looked me directly in the eye and said, without hesitation, ‘In that case, leave. I’m not serving you food.’ Just like that.”

They don’t belong in a treif restaurant to begin with. Nor do they belong at Goyish concerts and sporting events, or at the beach in the Greek islands. ‘Antisemitism’, AKA עשו (ישמעאל) שונא ליעקב, is something Hashem created to remind us who we are, and where we (don’t) belong. Nothing anyone does will ever change that, until Moshiach comes.

They probably didn’t belong in that restaurant anyway. When we don’t make kiddush, they make havdalah…

YWN: you have a responsibility to foster Yidishkeit’s values. Or else drop the “yeshiva” out of your name. Any pain whatsoever in the fact that these Israelis were eating non kosher food? Any pain about the fact that they engage in goyishe entertainment? If the Yid doesn’t make kiddush for himself, the goy will make sure to make havdala. What’s so hard to understand about that? Stand up for Torah values, for a change! What would have been a better outcome? That they eat treif???
