USPS Honors Elie Wiesel with Distinguished Americans Stamp Releasing Sept. 17


USPS is honoring Nobel Peace Prize laureate and Holocaust survivor Elie Wiesel with the 18th stamp in its Distinguished Americans series. Wiesel (1928–2016), author of Night and tireless voice for Holocaust remembrance and human rights, will be featured on a stamp releasing Sept. 17. The design shows a 1999 black-and-white portrait of Wiesel, alongside the word Humanitarian. Sheets of 20 (two-ounce rate) are already available for pre-order.
