A Flatbush Shomrim coordinator was assaulted in his Boro Park home Shabbos afternoon in what sources describe as a completely unprovoked attack.
The incident occurred shortly after 4:00PM on 62nd Street in Boro Park, when an individual knocked on the door of a private residence, claiming to be a building superintendent. The homeowner had never seen or heard of the man before, and he began acting suspiciously moments after being let in.
The intruder then suddenly assaulted the homeowner, leaving him with multiple facial injuries. Boro Park Hatzolah responded quickly and transported the victim to a local hospital.
NYPD officers from the 62nd Precinct arrived on the scene and took the assailant into custody. An investigation into the incident is ongoing.
