Israel Air Force Commander Major-General Ido Nehushtan flew one of the fighter planes that took part in a joint military exercise in Italy, the IDF Spokesperson’s Office has confirmed.

It is not an everyday occurrence to learn the air force’s commander personally takes part in such an operation.

The joint exercise was part of an expanded program of Israel’s military taking part in training events with other countries.
