Israel Air Force Commander Major-General Ido Nehushtan flew one of the fighter planes that took part in a joint military exercise in Italy, the IDF Spokesperson�s Office has confirmed.

It is not an everyday occurrence to learn the air force�s commander personally takes part in such an operation.

The joint exercise was part of an expanded program of Israel�s military taking part in training events with other countries.
