U.S. Moves to Arrange Netanyahu–Sisi Meeting

The U.S. is brokering a possible meeting between Prime Minister Netanyahu and President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi, their first since the Gaza war.

Israel is expected — and being pushed by the U.S. to finalize a strategic gas deal with Egypt and offer additional economic incentives before Sisi agrees to meet.

Washington’s goal is to shift regional cooperation toward economic partnerships in tech, energy, and water infrastructure.

Jared Kushner has told Netanyahu that economic cooperation must be central to rebuilding ties with Arab partners.
