Four people aboard a speedboat registered in Florida were killed in a shootout with the Cuban Coast Guard after the occupants allegedly opened fire when authorities approached the vessel to conduct an identification check, according to Cuba’s Interior Ministry.

The incident resulted in four fatalities and six injuries among those on the boat. The injured were evacuated and received medical treatment, the ministry said.
