Trump Gives Iran One Week to Signal Cooperation, Warns of Swift U.S. Response

In an interview with The New York Post, President Trump said he is giving Iran and parliament speaker Mohammad Ghalibaf one week to show whether they are willing to work with the U.S. following Tehran’s attack on Israel’s largest oil refinery, warning a response could come “shortly”.

• Trump said the U.S. will soon determine whether Ghalibaf is willing to work with Americans, adding, “We’re gonna find out” and “I’ll let you know that in about a week”.

• He claimed Iran’s old guard has been replaced by a new group he described as more “reasonable,” and said Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei is likely alive but in “extraordinarily bad shape”.
