White House Rejects Iran Proposal as Insufficient, Warns Military Option Remains on Table

The White House reportedly does not view Iran’s latest proposal as a significant improvement, with officials saying it contains only limited changes compared to previous versions.

• The proposal reportedly expands language on Iran not pursuing a nuclear weapon but still lacks detailed commitments on suspending uranium enrichment.

• U.S. officials say the proposal also fails to address surrendering Iran’s existing stockpiles of highly enriched uranium.

• Officials pushed back on reports of sanctions relief, stressing that no relief will come without reciprocal steps from Tehran.

• One senior official warned that little progress is being made and said if serious nuclear discussions do not move forward, “we will have a conversation through bombs.”
