Iran’s new Supreme Leader, Mojtaba Khamenei, issued a chilling series of threats against both Israel and the United States on Tuesday, declaring that “Israel will not live to see another 15 years” while warning that America will soon have “no safe haven” anywhere in the Middle East.
The fiery statements were aired by Iranian state television and published in an official Telegram message tied to the 2026 Hajj pilgrimage.
“Death to Israel” and “Death to America” remain the Islamic Republic’s guiding slogans, Khamenei declared, reaffirming Tehran’s longstanding hostility toward the Jewish state and the United States.
The remarks echoed a notorious prediction made years earlier by his father, former Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei, who once claimed Israel would not survive another 25 years.
In Tuesday’s message, Mojtaba Khamenei also warned that the United States is rapidly losing its grip on the Middle East.
“What is certain in this regard is that the hands of time will not turn back, and the nations and lands of the region will no longer serve as shields for U.S. bases,” he wrote.
“The United States not only will no longer have a safe haven for its mischief and for establishing military bases in the region but day by day, it is growing more distant from its former status,” he added.
The threats come at a highly sensitive moment as Washington and Tehran continue negotiations aimed at ending the recent war and establishing a broader agreement.
Mojtaba Khamenei has not appeared publicly since assuming power following the death of his father in a massive airstrike on Tehran during the opening stages of the recent joint U.S.-Israeli military campaign.

Mojtaba is dead! The whole left side of his body was destroyed. If Mojtaba was alive he would at least issue a video of himself.
The IRGC is keeping this pretense going that he is alive to stay in power. According to the Iranian Constitution the IRGC is second to the Supreme Leader. When the Supreme Leader issues an edict, the IRGC has full powers to enforce the edict and act as the real governing power.
However, once the Supreme Leader dies the power is then transferred to the President. The President’s mandate is to summon the top 88 Ayatollahs who will then vote for the next Supreme Leader. At this point there is bad blood between the President and the IRGC. The President wants to curtail the powers of the IRGC and the IRGC wants to continue wielding the absolute it is now holding.
Since most of the top 88 Ayatollahs were killed in the bombing that killed Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei, it will take a long time to assemble 88 Ayatollahs to vote for the next ruler, which will then give the President enough time to weaken the IRGC.
Of course the IRGC will not succumb to the President who really only has the Constitution to back him up but no real power. The IRGC will never give up their ultimate authority. There were rumours that they were even planning on assassinating Ayatollah Ali before he was killed.
Will there be some sort of civil war between the people and the IRGC once the truth comes out? Whichever way things turn out the IRGC will make sure they always stay in power.
I assume President Trump is aware of all this and he is not dealing with the President of Iran who really simply holds a meaningless title.
when will president trump realize that the Iranian are puling his leg? if trump is not destroying them now, America will never have a chance again. he gives them time, so they can get stronger and will destroy as they promise to do.
