UPDATE: Iranian state media reports that clashes are underway between the IRGC and U.S. forces in the Strait of Hormuz.

So far, Iranian outlets have reported explosions near Bandar Abbas, including in the area of the airport and a nearby airbase, as well as renewed explosions on Qeshm Island. Iranian media also claims Hengam Island was targeted in U.S. strikes and that anti-ship missiles were launched toward U.S. warships in the Sea of Oman.

Iran’s Khatam al-Anbiya Central Command is expected to issue a statement shortly.
