🚨 IRAN THREATENS RETALIATION: “Israel’s Attack On Lebanon Will Not Go Unanswered”; IDF On Highest Alert

Iran issued a series of threats against Israel on Sunday following Israeli airstrikes targeting Hezbollah infrastructure in Beirut’s Dahiyeh district, warning that the attack “will not go unanswered” as the IDF raised its level of readiness across all fronts.

Mohammad Jafar Assadi, deputy commander of Iran’s Khatam al-Anbiya Central Headquarters, declared that Israel’s “crimes” in Beirut’s southern suburbs would receive a response, according to Iranian state media.

Additional threats quickly followed from senior Iranian officials.

Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf accused the United States of failing to uphold its commitments, saying, “The Zionist aggression has once again proven that America has neither the will nor the ability to fulfill its obligations. Without that, there can be no discussion about moving forward.”

Ebrahim Rezaei, spokesman for the Iranian Parliament’s National Security and Foreign Affairs Committee, warned, “Do not miscalculate. Even if you seek an agreement or understanding, the path to it is by restraining the Zionist regime. If this ‘mad dog’ is not restrained, even before the ink on the agreement dries, it will bite us in the leg.”

Iranian media outlets affiliated with the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps also issued ominous warnings, claiming that “within hours, the skies over the Jews will once again be filled with a rain of missiles.”

Israeli defense officials acknowledged that the possibility of an Iranian response was discussed before the operation.

“We saw how the Iranians responded last time, and we took that into account,” one senior security official told Israeli media. “We are prepared for every possibility.”

According to reports, Israel also notified U.S. Central Command shortly before launching the strike in Beirut.

Earlier Sunday, the IDF said it struck a Hezbollah command center in Beirut’s Dahiyeh district that had been used to plan terrorist attacks against Israeli civilians and IDF troops operating in southern Lebanon. The military said the strike came after Hezbollah launched aerial threats toward Israeli territory earlier in the day.

In a joint statement, Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu and Defense Minister Yisroel Katz said the strike was carried out in direct response to Hezbollah’s attacks on Israel.

Meanwhile, IDF Chief of Staff Lt.-Gen. Eyal Zamir said the military remains on the highest level of alert.

“The entire IDF is determined, alert, ready, and operating with varying intensities in all sectors,” Zamir said after meeting with Northern Command commanders. “Lebanon is our main center of gravity, but we are also preparing for developments in other arenas.”

He added that ongoing operations in southern Lebanon continue to erode Hezbollah’s military capabilities while helping shape negotiations being mediated by the United States and the Lebanese government.

Lebanese media reported that at least three people were killed and several others wounded in the Israeli strike.
