Police used stun grenades and a water cannon overnight to disperse anti-draft protesters at Kikar Shabbos in Yerushalayim after demonstrators blocked roads following a large Eidah HaChareidis protest against the arrest of yeshiva bochurim.
According to police, protesters refused repeated orders to clear the streets, threw objects at officers, attempted to damage passing vehicles, and continued blocking major traffic arteries.
Jerusalem District police, Border Police, and Yasam officers moved in to clear the intersection, using force that included a water cannon and stun grenades to reopen the roads and restore order.
Police said two suspects were arrested on charges of disturbing the peace and taken in for questioning.
