FAR ROCKAWAY VICTORY: Frum Far Rockaway resident Pesach Osina has won the Democratic primary for New York’s 23rd Assembly District, defeating Mike Scala with more than 60% of the vote.

Osina, a longtime political staffer and former City Council candidate, ran with the backing of outgoing Assemblymember Stacey Pheffer Amato, who is not seeking reelection.
