B�chasdei Hashem the soldiers did not sustain fatalities or injuries. The rioting began when soldiers arrived to make an arrest in the area.

� US Secretary of State John Kerry has arrived in Iraq and he will be meeting with that country�s prime minister.

� Israel Police Central District Chief Bruno Steins announces his resignation. He was a candidate to become police chief but current Chief Yochanan Danino got the top slot.

� Another seriously wounded Syrian national has been transported for treatment to an Israeli hospital. Israeli hospitals have already treated over 800 Syrians wounded in that country�s civil war.

� Haifa City Hall welfare officials announce they will be distributing 1,500 food packages to city residents ahead of Rosh Hashanah.

� A building in the Maale Rechavam outpost in Gush Etzion was razed by security officials today. Outpost officials� decried the move, which they say contradicts the recent announcement that areas in Gush would be declared state land.
