There are conflicting reports regarding the future of Yahadut Hatorah vis-à-vis the current coalition. There are reports that last week members of the chareidi party visited with Maran HaGaon HaRav Aaron Yehuda Leib Shteinman Shlita to discuss the possibility of entering the coalition in the event the opportunity presents itself. It is reported the Gadol Hador gave Degel Hatorah the green light to weigh such a possibility.
Officials in the Prime Minister’s Office are working hard to persuade the chareidim to enter the coalition and it remains unclear how they will respond. Perhaps Degel may consider the move but according to statements released by MK Yaakov Litzman of the Agudas Yisrael faction, they do not appear to be considering the possibility at present. Litzman told Ladaat that he was approached twice to enter the government and rejected such an option.
In addition to the possibility Yesh Atid will break from the coalition, the prime minister fears the chareidi parties will close a deal with the Labor party and begin forming a left-wing alternative to the current coalition if the nation goes to early elections in 2015. Therefore bringing the chareidim into the coalition will provide a measure of security against such an event.

No Zionist party is going to enter into a coalition with Sha”s while it is being led by Deri. Nor is it likely that any of the current coalition partners would be willing to roll back the draft law – without which UTJ cannot be seen joining the coalition.
And while a potential coalition of the Left + Charedim + Lapid + Lieberman exists mathematically it is completely unrealistic in the real world.
Any group that agrees to eliminate the threat of arresting yeshiva students for refusing to serve in the army will gain hareidi support. While most hareidim are “right” on some national security issues, most haredim are “left” on economic issues – meaning they can be comfortable working with whichever side agrees to call off the war on the hareidi communities. However the conscription of the yeshiva students is an existential issue for the hareidim of Eretz Yisrael, and all sides know that.
The charedi parties are being vindictive and justifiably so.
They ought to,however, expand their outlook.
Passing the ‘Jewish State’ bill,is good for the country ,good for the religious,and good for the right.
It also will show they are bigger than just their parochial interests
