Officials report that the school floor collapse in eastern Jerusalem earlier in the day occurred in a UN UNRWA school near Givati parking lot. The floor fell out in a fourth grade and as a result, some students fell 1.5 meters. One child sustained light injuries and three others were treated for hysteria/shock.

Rabbi Michael Melchior (Meimad), who chairs the Knesset Education Committee, released a statement that schools in the Arab areas of Jerusalem are in a catastrophic state.
