A two-year-old child has suffered critical injuries, and another victim with leg injuries after debris fell from a Manhattan building.

The FDNY was called to 305 West End Avenue near West 74th Street around 11:00AM Sunday morning, for reports of a brick that had fallen and struck a two year old on the head. Upon arrival, emergency personnel found two people injured – one of them a two-year-old child with critical injuries.

Both patients were transported to an area hospital.

The Buildings Department is responding to the scene, and police are investigating the incident.
