IDF Chief of Staff Lt.-General Gabi Ashkenazi left for the United States for what is being described as working meetings.

Ashkenazi will hold a series of meetings, including with National Security Advisor James Jones and the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Admiral Mike Mullen.

According to a Galei Tzahal (Army Radio) report, the IDF commander will also meet with Dennis Ross, Secretary of State Hillary Clinton�s special advisor on Iranian affairs.
