For the first time in the State of Israel�s history, a nationwide preparedness drill will take place in which all citizens will be called upon to seek cover.

The nationwide event, simulating a major missile strike, is expected to last a number of days, sometime in June, involving residents around the country, organized and implemented by the IDF�s Homefront Command.

Homefront Command officials stress that the exercise is not an indicator of a deterioration of the current security situation but stressed the value of being prepared for any eventuality.
