8:09AM IL: First reports of a stabbing attack at the Eliyahu Checkpoint in proximity to the Shomron community of Alfei Menashe. ZAKA reports the female terrorist has been eliminated. One person has sustained light injuries. More to follow.

Route 55 in the area, the main vehicular route, is closed for the time being.

8:27AM IL: DEFENCE MINISTRY CROSSINGS AUTHORITY: A female approached the vehicular checkpoint walking towards soldiers carrying a bag. She was instructed by security personnel to halt. When she failed to comply they fired warning shots in the air. She continued approaching them while placing a hand under her shirt, prompting them to fire at her, wounding her critically. Earlier reports that she was dead are incorrect.

None of the intended victims in the attack were injured.

8:53AM IL: HATZALAH YOSH: Despite earlier reports to the contrary, the female terrorist’s condition is light and she was transported to Meir Hospital in Kfar Sava.
